Dr. John Minichetti
Dr. John C. Minichetti, General Dentist, Director of Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry of Englewood, has years of experience in cosmetic dentistry, implantology, and prosthetic reconstruction. Dr. Minichetti graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he finished first in his class. He then completed a postdoctoral specialized training program at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, including those for oral medicine, pharmacology, and oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Minichetti has published many scientific articles and received his fellowship in several academics. He is a faculty member of Englewood Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital, and formerly was at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Besides his outstanding academic and clinical skills, Dr. Minichetti is committed to his practice and patients foremost.

Dr. Minichetti has trained with some of the world's most prominent dental specialists. He is rapidly becoming known as Bergen County's leading dentist for people who want to relax through their dental treatment. Dr. Minichetti is affiliated with these associations:

Dr. Anna Hong
Dr. Anna Hong, General Dentist, Co-Director Englewood Dental has more than 15 years of private practice experience. At Englewood Dental, Dr. Hong provides general, preventative, cosmetic, implant and children's dentistry. Dr. Hong is well versed in all the latest cosmetic procedures including aesthetic recontouring, porcelain crowns, and laminates. She has completed technical training in Lumineers veneers which provide patients a simple, painless way to a new, permanent smile. She also completed a year-long mini-residency in dental implantology, which allows her to provide her patients with cutting edge reconstructive and cosmetic implant prosthetics. She is experienced in treating temporal mandibular joint related issues and has trained with some of the best in this field. She is trained in sedation dentistry and utilizes the surgical suite at Englewood Dental for her patients' comfort and relaxation.

Dr. Hong is a graduate of Boston College, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry. She completed her dental studies at SUNY School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook where she received awards for cosmetic excellence and achievements in academics, including the Senior Student Award sponsored by the Academy of General Dentistry and the Quintessence Award in recognition of academic achievement. She completed a postgraduate general practice residency at Englewood Hospital where she obtained medical and operating room experience. Dr. Hong and several of her staff members are fluent in Korean.

Dr. Joseph D'Amore
Dr. Joseph C. D'Amore is a general dentist who practices cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and prosthetic dentistry at the Center for Implants and Aesthetics. Dr. D'Amore is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, where he is recognized as an Associate Fellow of the Academy. Membership is granted to those demonstrating clinical proficiency in surgical and prosthetic dental implant techniques, in-depth knowledge of dental implants, and commitment to excellence in implant dental practice. Dr. D'Amore has been published in the prestigious Journal of Oral Implantology.

Dr. D'Amore completed his graduate studies at the New York University College of Dentistry where he received top honors. He completed a surgical externship program at Bellevue Medical Center, a well-known trauma center in Manhattan. Dr. D'Amore then finished a postdoctoral specialized training program for one year at Hackensack University Medical Center, before joining Englewood Dental. Dr. D'Amore has been the recipient of numerous awards, including New York University Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for superior performance in oral comprehensive care. Dr. D'Amore maintains a private practice in general, cosmetic, implant, and reconstructive dentistry in Englewood, NJ. Dr. D'Amore is fluent in both Italian and Spanish.

Dr. David Wu
We are proud to announce that Dr. David Wu has joined the Englewood Dental team. He will be our orthodontist specialist (specialty number 5750), working alongside our doctors to provide all of our patients with the most comprehensive care possible within one office. We believe he will delight our patients with his skill and infectious personality as much as he has us! Dr. Wu is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Long Island Academy of Odontology Award for Clinical and Academic Excellence, the OKU Dental Honor Society, the Dentsply Award for NYU tabletop research and the NYU Dean's Student Research Award. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthodontists, the American Dental Academy, the AAOF Vanguard Society and many others. At Englewood Dental, each and every patient is important to us. Dr. Jennifer Akkaway

Dr. Jennifer Akkaway is a pediatric dentist with expertise in the unique needs of children and adolescents (specialty number 5890). She understands that children are not simply small adults. To provide them with optimum dental care, she knows that young patients require special techniques and a gentle touch. She believes that establishing a “dental home” by age one is important for achieving excellent lifelong dental health. Dr. Akkaway maintains that building a trusting relationship takes time but is essential to avoid causing a lifetime of dental fears.

The Children’s Dental Health Center at Englewood Dental is our new kid-friendly office dedicated to the treatment of our younger patients. Every detail is designed to make kids feel at home. Dr. Akkaway and her staff will take time to teach them proper dental maintenance techniques while making sure their visits are stress-free and fun.

Dr. Akkaway brings invaluable experience to the Children’s Dental Health Center at Englewood Dental, coming to us from a prestigious pediatric practice in Manhattan. She is a graduate of Columbia University, where she earned her D.D.S. She completed a General Dentistry Residency program and then earned her Pediatric Specialist degree at Columbia University. Dr. Akkaway graduated with honors and was involved in research pertaining to the use of novel topical anesthetics and their application in Pediatric Dentistry. She also completed a Pediatric Dental Residency with concentrations in conscious sedation, interceptive orthodontics and operating room dentistry at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Akkaway is experienced in the treatment of children with special needs.

Dr. Berry Stahl
Dr. Stahl earned his associate's degree at Striar School of General Jewish Studies then his bachelor's at Yeshiva College. He continued his education to earn a master's of arts from Belfer Graduate School of Science, then his DMD was granted from U.M.D.N.J. – New Jersey Dental School. He performed a one-year externship at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and a two-year residency in dental anesthesia at The Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Stahl has been an assistant professor at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and an assistant attending dentist at St. Barnabas Hospital since 1988.

Dr. Evan Schwarz
Dr. Evan Schwarz, a Prosthodontic Specialist, is an important part of Englewood Dental's special team (specialty number 5725). A prosthodontist is a dentist who specializes in prosthodontics, the specialty of implant, aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. Prosthodontists specialize in the restoration of oral function by creating prostheses and restorations (i.e., complete dentures, crowns, implant retained/supported restorations). Cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and joint problems all fall under the field of prosthodontics. At the Center for Implants and Aesthetics, Dr. Schwarz plays an integral role in providing patients cutting edge, comprehensive restorative work.

Dr. Schwarz completed his specialty training at Columbia University after receiving his dental training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. His undergraduate degree was earned at Johns Hopkins University in Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering.

Dr. Schwarz has served as a Clinical Instructor at Columbia School of Dental and Oral Surgery and as a Clinical Teaching Assistant at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

The recipient of numerous academic awards for high achievement, professionalism, strength of character and clinical excellence in Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry, Dr. Schwarz brings considerable experience and talent to the team.

Dr. Schwarz has also volunteered his talents in professional organizations and to help underprivileged and special needs youngsters.
